- Ah ha!! I had this problem for a while too! Quite often Pixel 3D saves
- Imagine objects with a zero sized y axis. No matter how much you scale the axis
- it never seems to get and larger. When you do anything with the object, Imagine
- gets confused because it can't work with the zero sized axis - usually resulting
- in a crash or a very deformed (and probably corrupted) object.
-
- There are two simple ways to fix the zero sized y axis.
-
- (1) Create a new axis and select it. Now (while holding shift)
- select the stuffed axis. Now select "join" from the menus.
- (Don't use merge - it's not necessary and may cause Imagine to
- get confused). Now all you have to do is move the new axis to
- where you want it. Do this for each axis which is stuffed.
-
- (2) Select the axis that is stuffed and select "trasform" from the
- menus. Now click on the "transform axis only" button and make
- sure that it is on. Now select "rotate", but rotate it 0
- degrees about each axis. This seems to make Imagine happy.
-
- I hope this helps. Just as an afterthought... Make sure you ungroup
- any objects which you play with - especially if you join or merge them. I
- haven't tried it with Imagine 3.0, but I know that joining and merging objects
- which are grouped together in Imagine 3.0 can corrupt the data structures.
-
- Hope I was of some help and not too confusing - got to many assignments
- on my mind !!
